The Government Will Cover Thousands Off Your Battery — But It's Ending Soon
Reduce your upfront battery installation costs with available rebate incentives. Our team will help you understand your eligibility, estimate your savings, and guide you through the application process from start to finish.
Electricity prices aren't slowing down.
The average Queensland household now spends more than $2,185 a year on electricity, with prices continuing to rise.
If you already have solar, you could be selling excess energy to the grid for just 5–8¢/kWh, then buying electricity back in the evening for 30–45¢/kWh. Adding a battery can help you store more of the energy you generate and rely less on the grid.

From the initial consultation with the sales professional Darrian to the installation we have found Nexa Solar to be informative, reliable and promptly answering all questions we had. We have received regular follow-ups from Lauren to ensure we are satisfied with the system and their service. The installation is perfect and the system is producing well. Would not hesitate to recommend Nexa Solar.

We were stoked with the service we received. Given we have a tiled roof, we were a little nervous there would be damage but the guys were so careful and accommodating to our needs and timeframes. The whole experience was a breeze and I am grateful we decided to go with them. I can highly recommend the team if you're looking to make the switch to solar.

We had a 10.5kw system with a 10kw battery backup installed nearly 6 months ago now. Nexa solar are really friendly and easy to deal with. The crew that put the system on, did an exceptional job on the installation. They were very friendly and very helpful with any questions I had about the system. They know their products intimately. I would and do highly recommend anyone looking to install a new or even upgrading an existing system to have a talk to the Nexa team. Our system has delivered on what we asked for and we couldn't be happier. Thanks Nexa.

We were very impressed by the professionalism of Nexa. What sold us was their explanation of the system and its benefits, good price and non-pushing sales pitch. The installation was of high quality and good communication throughout the install. I will comment on the performance of the system at a later date, so far so good. Thank you Nexa.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this actually legit? Sounds too good to be true.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program is a federal government initiative with a $7.2 billion budget. The discount comes off your invoice automatically through the STC system — the same mechanism that’s been reducing solar costs for over a decade. We’re CEC-accredited and every install comes with full manufacturer warranty.
I already have solar. Can I still get the battery rebate?
Yes. The battery rebate applies whether you’re adding a battery to existing solar or getting a brand new solar + battery setup. If you’ve already got panels on your roof, you’re in a great position.
What does it actually cost after the rebate?
It depends on battery size and your setup — that’s exactly what the free savings estimate covers. We’ll show you the total cost after the government incentive, plus what you’d save on power each year. Most households see a payback of 5–7 years, then decades of savings.
Do I need council approval?
No. Standard residential solar and battery installations in the Moreton Bay area are classified as accepted development. No council approval needed.
Here's what a home battery can offer your home
- Access available government incentives – Eligible homeowners can reduce the upfront cost of a battery through the Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, with eligible discounts applied directly to your quote.
- Reduce your reliance on the grid – Store excess solar energy during the day and use it at night, helping lower your electricity bills and maximise the value of your solar system.*
- Backup power when you need it – Compatible battery systems can keep essential appliances running during blackouts, giving your household added peace of mind.
- End-to-end installation – From system design and installation to managing eligible incentive paperwork, the Nexa Solar team takes care of the entire process.
Government battery incentives are reducing over time
The Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program is designed to make battery storage more affordable for Australian households.
The incentive is scheduled to decrease every six months before the program ends in 2030, meaning homeowners who install earlier may be eligible for a higher level of support than those who wait.
Take advantage of today's battery incentives
Eligible homeowners can currently access significant savings through the Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program.
However, the available incentive is scheduled to reduce over time, with the program stepping down every six months before concluding in 2030. Acting sooner may help you maximise the available discount while it remains at its current level.
