“I had a 13.3kW solar system with a 32kW GoodWe battery installed in Emerald a few years ago, and I’ve been extremely happy with the results. I was born in Mount Isa and later moved to Emerald, so I understand how important it is to have a reliable and efficient energy setup in regional Queensland. Before installing solar, my electricity bills were through the roof — around $1,500 per quarter. Since having the system installed, my bills have dropped to almost the minimum charge, which has made a huge difference. From the initial consultation through to installation, everything was handled professionally, efficiently and with great attention to detail. The team were knowledgeable, friendly and easy to deal with, and the workmanship was excellent. A great investment, a great result, and one of the best decisions I’ve made for my home. I’d happily recommend this company to anyone considering solar and battery storage.”

“Fast service from enquiry to quote and sales to fitting within 2 weeks. Very knowledgeable both fitters and sales. Price even with rebate was a lot but good quality can't be cheap and great customer support, constant phone calls with updates and fitting times and even refund for panels they couldn't fit. Eventually it will pay for itself so I'm happy”

    Straight answers

    Solar panels, systems
    and batteries. Explained.

Whether you’re starting with solar or adding storage, here are the questions worth asking.

    Solar Panel & System FAQs

The right size depends on how much electricity you use, when you use it and your available roof space. We’ll review your power bill and consider future needs, such as a battery or electric vehicle, before recommending a system.

These figures describe the combined rated capacity of the panels, rather than how much power the system produces at every moment. Larger systems have more generating capacity, but your usage, roof, inverter and connection requirements determine the right fit.

Your installed price depends on the system size, panels, inverter, roof access and any electrical work required. Start with a free Energy Assessment for a recommendation and quote specific to your property.

Compare the panel and inverter models, total capacity, installation work, monitoring, warranties and after-sales support. Your quote should clearly set out the inclusions, exclusions and any additional electrical work.

This depends on the panels’ dimensions and wattage, usable roof area, orientation and shading. Panel wattage is the rated capacity of an individual panel; system size is the combined rated capacity of all panels.

Yes, although your future battery options depend on the system design and equipment compatibility. Tell us if a battery is part of your plans so we can consider this when recommending your solar setup.

Potentially. We’ll assess your panels, inverter, system performance and electricity use to help determine whether adding capacity or replacing the system makes more sense. System changes may also require network approval.

    Battery FAQs

Indicative installed prices after an eligible federal discount: small (1–2 bedrooms), $4,000–$11,000; medium (3–4 bedrooms), $7,000–$15,000; large (6+ bedrooms), $11,000–$19,000+. These ranges are a guide, not a quote. Your usage, solar, equipment and installation needs determine the right size and price. Confirm current pricing and eligibility during your Energy Assessment.
A battery may suit you if you export spare solar during the day but buy electricity at night, or want backup power during outages. Your power bill and solar data will help show whether one is a good fit. Backup requires compatible equipment and an appropriate installation.
A battery can reduce your bill, but a $0 bill isn’t guaranteed. You’ll usually still pay a daily supply charge. Savings depend on your usage, solar generation, battery capacity and electricity plan.
Solar can reduce the power you buy, but you may still buy electricity after sunset and pay daily supply charges. Higher household usage or changes to electricity rates and solar export credits can also affect your bill.
