I had a 13.3kW solar system with a 32kW GoodWe battery installed in Emerald a few years ago, and I’ve been extremely happy with the results. I was born in Mount Isa and later moved to Emerald, so I understand how important it is to have a reliable and efficient energy setup in regional Queensland. Before installing solar, my electricity bills were through the roof — around $1,500 per quarter. Since having the system installed, my bills have dropped to almost the minimum charge, which has made a huge difference. From the initial consultation through to installation, everything was handled professionally, efficiently and with great attention to detail. The team were knowledgeable, friendly and easy to deal with, and the workmanship was excellent. A great investment, a great result, and one of the best decisions I’ve made for my home. Fast service from enquiry to quote and sales to fitting within 2 weeks. Very knowledgeable both fitters and sales. Price even with rebate was a lot but good quality can't be cheap and great customer support, constant phone calls with updates and fitting times and even refund for panels they couldn't fit. Eventually it will pay for itself so I'm happy

How much does a home battery cost?

Indicative installed prices after eligible federal discount

Bedrooms are only a guide. Your energy use, solar system and installation needs affect the right size and final price. We recommend an Energy Assessment before being able to provide you an accurate quote.

How do I know if I need a battery?

A battery may suit you if you export spare solar during the day but buy electricity at night, or want backup power during outages.

Your power bill and solar data will help show whether one is a good fit for your home.

Can a battery reduce my electricity bill to $0?

A battery can reduce your bill, but a $0 bill isn’t guaranteed. You’ll usually still pay a daily supply charge, and your savings depend on your energy use, solar generation, battery size and electricity plan.

I already have solar, so why are my electricity bills increasing?

Solar can reduce the power you buy, but you may still get a bill.

You’re charged for power used after sunset, and daily supply charges still apply.

Higher household use or lower solar export credits can also increase what you pay.
